Biography

Joshlyn Thomas is a Columbia, South Carolina native. She attended the University of South Carolina (USC), majored in public relations, and minored in theatre. After graduating from USC, Joshlyn relocated to Daytona Beach, Florida, where she began working as the alumni affairs assistant at Bethune-Cookman University. Additionally, she obtained a master's degree in educational leadership from the University of Central Florida (UCF). After graduating from UCF, Joshlyn transitioned to Tallahassee, Florida, and began working at Florida A&M University in student affairs. Joshlyn obtained her doctorate in higher education from Florida State University (FSU) in December 2022. She holds a certification in institutional research from FSU. Joshlyn is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
