Amy Vigilante serves as the University of Florida’s Director for the State's Art in State Buildings Program, overseeing committees formed for the selection of artists for the public art acquisitions program at the University of Florida.  Her research is in aesthetics, cognitive style and public art.  She teaches in the areas of aesthetics and arts administration.  Vigilante is a practicing artist (textiles and painting) and a professional arts consultant with expertise in public art, strategic planning, and arts administration, as well as city, county and statewide cultural programs.
