Kathy brings more than 25 years of experience in nonprofit and Higher Ed administration and operations to her role with College of the Arts. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Agnes Scott College, Kathy also holds an M.S. in urban studies/nonprofit management from Georgia State University as well as professional credentials in human resources (SHRM-SCP, SPHR, and SHRM Talent Acquisition Specialty). Past career highlights include serving on the communications and artistic teams of the Alliance Theatre, managing HR and operations for the Minnesota Population Center at the University of Minnesota, and launching the Strategic Talent Group at UF.
In her own creative work as a playwright (writing under the name Keian McKee), Kathy explores questions related to the body and knowing. In particular, she is interested in plumbing the ways in which our physicality–its natural and imposed abilities, boundaries, and limitations–shapes what we know and how we know it.
