In 2018, the students whose skills, sweat, and passion bring enthusiasm to each UF game started rehearsing at the new permanent practice facility to call home.
What does this mean for the Gator Marching Band?
The facility will offer numerous benefits:
- NCAA-regulation artificial turf marching band field with lighting that mirrors the game day performance space and allows for greater marching excellence
- A dedicated, centrally located outdoor research and teaching facility on campus for current and future UF students and band programs throughout the state and country
- Restroom facilities, storage, and covered space with lighting for the safety of student musicians during inclement weather
Click on each of the images below to see renderings of the proposed band facility at Pony Field off Gale Lemerand Drive on UF's Gainesville Campus.
Your support will provide:
- A pavilion as shelter/rehearsal space for band members and event space for alumni
- Needed storage for important instruments and equipment
- Restroom facilities
- Lighting for evening rehearsals
