About the College

About

The College of the Arts intends to be a transformative community, responding to and generating paradigmatic shifts in the arts and beyond.  We achieve the university’s mission by training professionals and educating students as artists, designers, and scholars, while developing their capacities for critical study, creative practice, and provocation.

Established in 1975, the College of the Arts (COTA) offers bachelor's, master's and doctoral degree programs in its three fully accredited schools: School of Art + Art History, School of Music, and School of Theatre + Dance, and three centers and institutes: Digital Worlds Institute, Center for Arts in Medicine, and Center for Arts, Migration, and Entrepreneurship. The college also includes the University Galleries (as part of the School of Art + Art History) and is a partner in the New World School of the Arts in Miami.
