Bennett Jones accepted to Northwestern University Ph.D. program

Bennett Jones has been accepted to Northwestern University’s History Ph.D. program to study the history of science. Her offer includes funding for five years. Bennett was also invited to participate in the university’s interdisciplinary science studies cluster, which includes an additional Mellon Cluster Fellowship.

While there, Bennett plans to continue her research on the history of American science, focusing on the history of ecology and zoology. Her proposed dissertation research examines how the human-animal relationship mediated through science creates a form of conspicuous consumption the demarcates class.

Congratulations on this great opportunity, Bennett!
