Aimee Gonzalez, who received her master's degree in musicology and her bachelor's degrees in violin performance and political science from the University of Florida, recently won a position within Carnegie Hall's Public Relations department.
Aimee says, "It's truly an honor to work for such an illustrious institution that is central to music-making in this country and is also highly innovative in its programming and ambitious education and community initiatives."
She attributes her success in New York to the excellent mentorship she received from the UF music faculty and the writing, editing, and public speaking skills she developed as a music history student and teaching assistant.
While working at Carnegie Hall, Aimee continues to be involved in the field of musicology, presenting her master's research at national and international conferences.
