UF Graphic Design student wins President’s Holiday Card Contest

By Francesca Levy

Andrea Gomez, a third year UF Graphic Design major, was named the winner of President Fuchs' holiday card contest. Gomez learned about the contest through one of her design professors, who encouraged her entire class to design an entry for the contest.

Gomez came up with the concept for the design by really thinking about what the holidays meant to her. She wanted to make sure the design was inclusive to everyone in the UF community and tried to come up with a design that was unique while staying authentic to the spirit of UF.

“I was so excited when I found out I won the contest,” said Gomez. “I am so happy to represent the UF Graphic Design department and it is truly an honor to have won!”
