Prof. Mitchell Estrin featured on new CD recording

Professor of Clarinet Mitchell Estrin conducted the new CD recording, “LIVE from the Texas State Clarinet Fiesta” (Mark Records 53082), released in December 2018. Estrin led the Texas State Clarinet Choir with clarinet soloists Philippe Cuper (Paris Opera), Andre Moisan (Montreal Symphony), David Gould (American Ballet Theater) and Vanguel Tangarov (Texas State University). The recording features the world premiere of two new arrangements for four solo clarinets and clarinet choir by Matt Johnston of works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart - Sinfonia Concertante, K. 279b - and Robert Schumann - Concert Piece for Four Horns (first movement). Estrin will be returning to conduct the Texas choir again in February 2019.
