Join Dr. Porchia Moore and her Creative B Students for student performances/presentations, lively discussion, activities, a short talk and more as we explore the concept of embodied cultural creativity and memory. We will discuss the legacies of monuments, memory, and personal histories through the lens of Florida Studies, the Black Atlantic, and other creative and intellectual concepts using embodied practices to consider how we might use our own personal narratives to tell new histories with a goal of thinking through how and why our historic monuments, cultural landscapes, and other public spaces often ignore or erase more complex narratives.

In what ways is your body and archive? What stories might you tell and why? How can we design new monuments and where might they show up in public and private spaces? This is an interactive and participatory experience filled with discovery, curiosity, and fun. All ages are welcome. Please be prepared to share personal narratives, to move your bodies, and to co-create new Visions for cultural creativity and memory.
