The Wisdom of Ananse: Ceramic Sculptures by Alex Awuku opens Friday, Feb 13 at 6:30pm at the Cotton Club Museum!
The exhibition will feature original clay sculptures that feature Ghanaian folk tales and the centuries-old wisdom gleaned from them. The sculptures also reveal Awuku’s concern that these stories, and the wisdom they impart, are being ignored and therefore lost with the current generation. Featuring Guest Curator, Dr. Rebecca M. Nagy.
This exhibition will be on view Feb 13 – Aug 29 during regular museum hours. Free and open to the public.
