As part of the Stories for Sustainability series, the Soundscapes as Oral History Workshop will focus on learning how to relay a personal story through a soundscape. Workshop participants will reflect on their personal relationships between sound and memory in order to create a brief “narrative” in the form of an audio soundscape, while also gaining familiarity with Audacity—a creative audio tool that can facilitate soundscape creation. The workshop will be led by Dr. Jillian Rogers (School of Music). Advance registration is requested, as space at the workshop venue will be limited.
