Brakissa Coulibaly is a master West African dancer and choreographer from Abobo, Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. Barakissa has more than 30 years of experience in West African Dance and music along with many other styles of dance within the African Diaspora. She has traveled and taught in many countires such as Spain, Japan, Greece, France, and more.
Barakissa has worked with many public universities and academic institutions such as the Univeristy of Florida, Univeristy of North Carolina, Bates College and more.
She is an official CID at UNESCO The International Dance Council member, hosts an international and local African Diaspora festival each year, is the director of Mosso-Kan West African Dance ensemble and the Barakissa Coulibaly Foundation.
