The Center has been leading the way in Arts in Medicine education, research, and outreach since 1996. We are housed in the College of the Arts at the University of Florida, and provide university faculty and students in the arts, health sciences and other disciplines with myriad ways to connect and advance the use of the arts to promote health.

The faculty at the University of Florida Center for Arts in Medicine is thrilled to offer graduate and undergraduate programs in Arts in Medicine via both live and distance education.  Our online Master of Arts (MA) in Arts in Medicine is currently one of just a few graduate programs in the world that prepare students and professionals for careers in the rapidly growing field of Arts in Medicine. Our exceptional instructors are leaders in the field, bringing decades of combined experience and a deep commitment to research, education, and outreach. We are also pleased to offer fully online Graduate Certificates in Arts in Medicine and in Arts in Public Health. Our engaging online learning environment connects learners from around the globe. Students in our online programs have access to leaders from the pioneering Shands Arts in Medicine program, as well as to the academic resources of the University of Florida.  Our coursework has been designed to provide comprehensive theoretical and practical foundations for practice in the field while encouraging students to use their knowledge and abilities to create distinct programs that enrich their communities.
