June 4 - June 22

The School of Art + Art History is offering an Art + Design Pre-College Program to high school juniors and seniors ages 16-18.

This Pre-College program is designed to give serious and talented high school juniors and seniors the chance to experience the University of Florida curriculum for themselves through in-depth, college-level studio concentrations: Photography, Painting and Drawing, and Digital Fabrication.

Run by faculty who teach in our degree programs, each of the three courses offered this summer will be held at our campus facilities and studio spaces, and will include field trips to other university resources.

As an exciting end to the Program, artwork created from the three classes will culminate in a group exhibition of student work, held in one of the professional galleries on campus. Parents and teachers will be invited to view the work created by students throughout the program during this memorable event. This exhibition will not only provide students with a professional context to display their work, but will also be a time where students, families, and the extended community can come together to discuss the work of the next generation of artists.

SA+AH Pre-College Program will culminate in a group exhibition of student work, held in one of our campus galleries!

This program offers a chance for young artists to grow their portfolios and expand their body of work, make new friends, and experience the best of campus life during the summer.

Pre-College attendees will work in the UF facilities and eat at the UF dining facilities. Lunch is included in Registration fees. This is a wonderful and rare opportunity to make new friends and build your portfolio while receiving world-class instruction at a world-class institution. Campers are supervised by DCF-certified camp counselors who are also licensed educators.

All classes will run Monday through Friday from 9:00AM to 4:00PM with a one hour break for lunch between 12:00PM to 1:00PM.
