The SA+AH is hosting a 3-week residential, Pre-College program to be held in our facilities during the Summer 2019 semester.

High school students (ages 15+) of all skill levels are welcome!

Our Pre-College Program is designed to be an intense, inspiring blend of deep immersion in a media-driven course with interdisciplinary cross-course experiences scheduled throughout the program. The courses are run by faculty who teach in our degree programs and are assisted by our graduate students to create a robust and exciting classroom environment. The classes are held in our campus studios but also include field trips to other university resources. Come grow your portfolio and experience the best of art school life and university life during our three-week residential summer program.

The SA+AH Pre-College Program will guide students in the curation of a professional portfolio.

School of Art + Art History Pre-College Classes are designed to offer student artists and designers the ability to experience the beautiful University of Florida campus, discover and learn in our facilities, and get to know the faculty while participating in exciting studio learning experiences. All campers are under constant supervision by DCF-certified camp counselors.

Living away from home and experiencing the independence and responsibility of college life is an important aspect of the Pre-College program. Students will work closely with UF Studio Faculty and graduate students on projects that will introduce concepts in their chosen media. All classes are designed for serious and motivated entry-level students.

All attendees will work in the UF facilities and eat in campus Gator Dining halls. Lunch and dinner will be provided to all attendees on weekdays and on weekends when not traveling on field trips. Meals will be provided in the dining halls on campus. Campers will make their own breakfasts in the residence halls.
