Percussion

About the Program

The Percussion Area features performance opportunities in Percussion Ensemble, Steel Band, Orchestra, Wind Symphony, Symphonic Band, Jazz Bands, Marching Band, and World Music Ensembles (African, Brazilian, Cuban, Guatemalen).  Many of these ensembles have been featured at regional, national, and international conferences.  Students are also offered masterclasses from renowned artists from throughout the world.  Percussion majors receive weekly lessons and meet in a studio class to perform and discuss relevant topics (improvisation, careers, etc.).
