About the Program

The University of Florida Brass Area offers weekly instruction with a highly qualified performance faculty who remain active as performers and clinicians at national and international levels. The curriculum emphasizes the performing and teaching skills necessary to meet the challenges of today's professional music world.  Our graduates perform in orchestras, chamber groups and jazz ensembles, teach in universities and conservatories, and are leaders in music education.
