Follow these steps to convert an audio track from a compact disc to an .aiff sound file in the emu studio.
REMEMBER: Follow all procedures as outlined in the handout `Getting
Started."
Load CD into CDROM drive in the Macintosh.
LaunchMoviePlayer application.
Choose open in file menu and locate CD on the Macintoshdesktop and select track to be converted.
Choose convert and then options.
Select Settings for the converted .aiff file [44.100 kHz; 16 bit; stereo].
Adjust audio selection to the track start and stop points desired for the coverted .aiff file.
Select O.K.
Decide on which media to save the converted sound file [hard disk; Syquest; floppy]. Name and save the .aiff sound file.
Close the MoviePlayer application.
OpenSound Designer II and edit the file as needed. Save the edited file and convert file format if desired using Save As option in the file menu [.sd2; .aiff; .wav].
NOTE: You may also use SoundHack to change the file format.
