MUC4401: Composition of Electroacoustic Music
MAX Assignment No. 7

The purpose of this assignment is to create an alternative controller interface using either the computer ASCII keyboard and/or mouse, motion sensor, USB controller or Wii remote.

The following MAX objects might be helpful to accomplish this assignment (not all are necessary - others might be added depending on your design).

      key
      mousestate
      hi
      aka.bookmotion
      aka.wiiremote
      route
      select
      scale

To download the 3rd party objects by Masayuki Akamatsu go to http://www.iamas.ac.jp/~aka/max/

Utilize the Clue Menu (found under the WINDOW menu) to identify the objects available in the palette. Remember that you can use print statements, number boxes, buttons, etc. to debug your patcher. These items will help you track the program flow though the patcher.

BONUS: use your alternate controller patcher and adapt it to control one of your sound generating patchers and demonstrat its use in class.

We're about 2/3 of the way into the semester so your projects needs to start taking shape. Once again, your class assignments should be used as spring-boards in crafting your projects.
