Ulisses Rocha performing and teaching in Porto Alegre, Brazil

This past September, Rocha had the opportunity to participate the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) Guitar Festival in Porto Alegre, Brazil. The event was dedicated to Abel Carlevaro, important Uruguayan guitarist from the early 20th century, famous for his contributions on redesigning the fundamentals for the guitar technique. High-level students had the opportunity to participate in masterclasses, workshops, discussions and to attend concerts of renowned players from Brazil, Chile, Mexico and France.
