UF Teach the World Study Abroad Program students return from Rome

Eighteen College of Education and College of Fine Arts education majors have returned from the 2014 Teach the World Study Abroad program in Rome. This is the 5th year of the program founded and directed by Dr. Russell Robinson, professor and head of the Music Education program, and his wife, Brenda Robinson. Students have short-term teaching internships as well as numerous cultural opportunities in the host cities. The program was in Rome at the Ambrit Rome International School in 2010, 2011 and 2014, the Marymount Paris International School  in 2012 and 2013, and will return to Paris in 2015.

Robinson says, “We have two prestigious host schools for our program in Rome and Paris, and our future plans are to rotate the program each year between Paris and Rome. The program has become very selective and competitive since we began the program in 2010, and we now fill the program in less than a month’s time in the fall for the spring program. These students have been outstanding representatives for the University of Florida.”
