SOM Professor Mitchell Estrin serves in leadership roles at International Clarinet Association ClarinetFest

Mitchell Estrin, professor of music at UF, capped off a busy summer of musical activities at the 2017 International Clarinet Association (ICA) ClarinetFest in Orlando, Florida. In addition to serving in his governance position as ICA President Elect, he also served as director of the 2017 ICA Young Artist Competition and the ICA Professors Choir, an ensemble comprised of 60 leading clarinet performers and teachers from around the world. The 2017 ClarinetFest had a record attendance of over 1500 clarinet performers, educators, students and enthusiasts.

Estrin's summer activities also included presenting masterclasses at the Lone Star Clarinet Camp in Roundrock, Texas and the Vienna Band Camp in northern Virginia.
