Students elected to Phi Beta Kappa

Kiersten Lampe, Elliot Larkin and Anna Mebel—all Art History majors—have been elected to Phi Beta Kappa (PBK), the nation’s oldest and most widely known academic honor society, which celebrates and advocates excellence in the liberal arts and sciences.

PBK offers membership to the most outstanding graduates of leading institutions, no more than 10% of graduates at the select schools with PBK chapters. PBK members have demonstrated “intellectual integrity, tolerance for other views, and a broad range of interests” along with a “commitment to the liberal arts and sciences, and to freedom of inquiry and expression.”
