Professor Mitchell Estrin featured at national summer music programs

During June and July, Professor Mitchell Estrin was the keynote artist for two national summer music programs. He was the featured artist at the Iowa Woodwind Institute at Grandview University where he instructed students ages 13-18 on all facets of wind playing and performance techniques. He then traveled to Virginia where he was the keynote guest artist for the Vienna Band Camp in Falls Church. He taught musical fundamentals to 135 clarinet students ages 10-18 and also presented masterclasses where advanced students performed solo works and orchestral excerpts for an audience. Over the summer, he continued to write scholarly articles for publication in The Wave, the online newsletter for Vandoren, the world’s leading maker of clarinet reeds and mouthpieces.
