Andrew Hendrixson travels the U.S. with new project

Andrew Hendrixson, a 2011 painting MFA alumnus, recently inaugurated a new project called The House Shows. For this project, Hendrixson will travel around the U.S. to cities such as Los Angeles, Chicago, New York City and Nashville, installing artwork in living rooms and local venues for a one-day art show where he will then talk about and welcome everyone to engage in the artwork.

The shows will include handmade drawing books and prints as well as a hand-bound book with an essay about Hendrixson’s art by Elizabeth Dark Wiley.

Hendrixson teaches art and design at Mount Vernon Nazarene University in Mount Vernon, Ohio. He has also exhibited his paintings in New York City, Detroit and Cincinnati in addition to several publications in magazines and books both online and in print.
