The advanced drawing program at the University of Florida is proud to present, Whole Seniors Draw Partings. This show highlights the work of eight University of Florida BFA candidates and acts as a preview for their solo shows to be featured this spring.

Though all immersed in the drawing program, these artists take a variety of approaches to their work. Luca Brunozzi creates narrative scenes that revolve around mythological subject matter. Julian Farmer explores the various ways he experiences notions of masculinity through process driven drawings. Fueled by his interest in biological illustration, Xavier Moss studies parasitism through the Green-Banded Broodsac and the other creatures that constitute its life cycle. Alyssa Hendricks investigates the differences between man made and organic geometries by looking at animal patterns and behaviors. Using a variety of 2D materials, such as porn magazines, floral patterns, and vintage cookbooks, Kimberlyn Lamb works to express her identity as a female individual. Chelsea Rowe explores ideas of the family and maternal figures using a combined process of photography, collage, and drawing to create dreamlike settings. A passion for water athletics inspires Taylor Adams to create surfaces for color, texture, and geometric and organic form to interact, at times even using physical wakeboards as foundations for collage. Pedro Fadraga explores large-scale expressive line work as a means to communicate ideas about futurism, gesturality, and color.
