    The Center for Latin American Studies at the University of Florida is proud to present visiting scholar Yissel Arce on Thursday, January 26, 6 pm, in the Fine Arts Building B, Room 103 (FAB 103). The lecture is free and open to the public.

    Yissel Arce

    Yissel Arce is a professor at the Autonomous Metropolitan University in Xochimilco, Mexico. She has also taught in the Graduate Program of Art Studies at the Iberoamerican University in Mexico City and the College of Arts and Letters at The University of Havana. She has served as editor of the newspaper Cuban Art News and the magazine CubanArt at the Cuban National Council of Fine Arts. In 2001, she received the Guy Pérez Cisneros Award for Art Criticism for her article “Someone has to Wake Up the Ostrich,” about the works of Sandra Ramos.
