  • Description

Join us for a series of New Wave films made in the years of urban reconstruction across Western Europe. All films are photographed on-site and represent a selection of innovative photography techniques, uses of sound and challenging
    narratives.

The screenings take place in the Fine Arts Plaza between Fine Arts Bldg. D and the University Art Gallery. In the event of high winds or rain the films will be screened in Fine Arts Bldg. D, Room 329.

Screenings begin at 8pm, are free to attend, and are open to all UF students, staff, faculty as well as their friends, family, and the public.

September 1 - Breathless (Godard, 1960) (It was sweet, taunting, and a bit evil. Great camera work across Paris)
September 8 - Alphaville (Godard, 1965) (Completely over the top precedent to Blade Runner and the Matrix. The Alpha 60 voice reallycreeped out the audience. High Modernist design. Fantastic!!)
September 22 - Two or Three Things I Know About HerŠ (Godard, 1967)
September 29 - Belle du Jour (Buñuel, 1967)
October 6 - Les dames du Bois de Boulogne (Bresson, 1945)
October 20 - Diary of a Country Priest (Bresson, 1951)
    October 27 - Pickpocket (Bresson, 1959)
    November 3 - Repulsion (Polanski, 1965)
November 10 -The Umbrellas of Cherbourg (Demy, 1964)
