Bobby Shew Live with the UF Jazz Band and Gary Langford

University of Florida alumni from across the country will return to campus on Saturday, February 20, 2016 to perform in and attend a special concert, Bobby Shew Live, featuring the UF Jazz Band and Gary Langford. Scott Wilson, head of UF’s Jazz program, says the reunion concert is a dream in the making. Planning for the concert, which will feature alumni and students playing alongside one another, began when he found a CD in the archives of a 1983 concert at UF featuring Bobby Shew and the UF Jazz Band. Members of the 1983 band and Shew will return to the University Auditorium stage on February 20 at 7:30 p.m. for a reunion concert that is free and open to the public.

Donations are being accepted to the Bobby Shew Jazz/Lead Trumpet Scholarship. Those who make a donation of $30 or more will receive the Bobby Shew Live 1983 CD. To make a donation, please click here.
