    Join us to learn more about the Alexander Technique with School of Theatre + Dance Assistant Professor of Dance Elizabeth Johnson on January 10, 2017 from 12:50 - 1:40 p.m. in MUB 120.

    Elizabeth Johnson is a certified Teacher of the Alexander Technique (AmSAT) and a Laban Movement Analyst (GL-CMA, Columbia College Chicago) and holds a BFA from George Mason University and an MFA from the University of Illinois. She is the artistic director of Your Mother Dances and a university educator researching somatic integration in Dance pedagogical and creative practices. She has presented her research at Motus Humanus, Southeastern Women's Studies Association, and National Dance Education Association. Johnson has served as faculty at UIUC, UW Madison, UNC-Greensboro, UW-Milwaukee, Texas Tech and is an Assistant Professor of Dance at the University of Florida.
