The College of the Arts is pleased to welcome Brandon McKinley as the new Public Relations and Partnerships Specialist as a part of the development team. With degrees in public relations and music, he will utilize strategic communications to further the development, expand the audience and promote the significance of the arts in a top research institution.
McKinley is an accomplished percussionist having studied under Dr. Kenneth Broadway. During his time at UF, he has performed with a multitude of ensembles, including the Wind Symphony, Symphony Orchestra, Percussion Ensemble and Sunshine Steelers Band.
He has served as a student leader as a part of the School of Music Ambassadors and served as an intern in the College of the Arts. He also served as the section leader for the Florida Drum Line in his senior year. An avid marching band fan, Brandon has performed with and taught at competitive marching programs.
“Brandon has a passion for the arts and a drive towards serving the arts and is an excellent addition to the our team," Director of Development and Alumni Affairs Jennifer Coolidge said. "His experience in the School of Music as a student and as an intern has given him a great understanding of the college from a student perspective that will translate well into his role in communications and supporting partnerships to expand the reach of the collage. We now have an alum from each our schools in our department.”
In his free time, he enjoys being behind the camera lens or cooking a new recipe in the kitchen.
