Victoria R Gerson

Biography

Victoria is a Brazilian-American graphic designer born and raised in Miami, FL. She believes in the graphic designer's ability and responsibility to have a socially conscious design practice. Victoria received a BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Florida, & a Master of Graphic Design from North Carolina State University. Her research while at NC State focused on using emerging technologies such as virtual reality and 3D environments for issues such as climate change and science education. Victoria was a Cynthia Woods Mitchell Scholar-in-Residence at the University of Houston, during which she built a class on Design Activism. Victoria is now a Lecturer in Graphic Design at her alma mater, teaching juniors, seniors, and grad students in the grpahic design program. Victoria is also faculty advisor for Vox Graphis, the university's student ran graphic design club.
