Wendy Thornton has a B.A. in English from the University of Florida and completed graduate coursework in Cultural Studies. She is currently president of the Writers Alliance of Gainesville. She has worked at UF as an administrative assistant in the College of Business, an administrative coordinator in Occupational Therapy and a training coordinator at the TREEO Center (The Center for Training, Research, and Education for Environmental Occupations).
Prior to this she worked as a conference planner and marketing assistant at CPA America, an international association of accounting firms.
Wendy is secretary to the Director, James Oliverio, and also serves as student services coordinator for the Digital Worlds Institute.
