Welcome to the School of Theatre + Dance at the University of Florida! Please visit us on our website or in person on our campus to learn more about our various, nationally accredited degree programs, outstanding facilities, and vigorous production season.
Housed within one of the finest research universities in the nation, the School of Theatre + Dance provides an intimate setting where students, faculty and staff interact in constant and close collaboration. Our curricular programs are suited to a range of student interests and talents, from the open-access, liberal arts B.A. degree to the competitive B.F.A. and M.F.A. professional training degrees. With a dozen or more fully staged productions each year, as well as other performances directed and produced by student organizations like the Florida Players, the School offers a wealth of production opportunities.
Take a moment to read about our exceptional faculty. As you will see, SoTD faculty members are leaders in theatre and dance nationally and globally. International guest artists frequently provide master classes, present original choreography for our dance productions, and perform on our stages. Faculty in the SoTD also coordinate three innovative research centers in the College of the Arts: the Center for World Arts; the Center for Arts in Medicine; and the Center for Arts and Public Policy. These centers offer intercultural and interdisciplinary programming, as well as select certificate and degree plans of study.
The University of Florida is a place of proud traditions and innovative learning. Come join us!
